The BBC is reporting that 'Teachers can use AI to save time on marking', according to new guidance from the UK Department for Education. https://lnkd.in/eaRG5nF9 At Cambridge International Education, we published our own guidance earlier this year on Getting Started With AI in the Classroom: https://lnkd.in/evQuRfik. Talking to teachers and school principals around the world, we are hearing both curiosity and caution about generative artificial intelligence. And students have been telling us that, much though they think GenAI will be a useful tool, their preferred future is not one that is dominated by technology. It's still early days, despite the claims of many technology companies, so maybe the question we should be asking right now is not whether education is ready for AI but, rather, whether AI is ready for education?

"Don't be afraid to explore, to fail, to try something completely different from what you imagine for yourself right now. The Cambridge system has given you a phenomenal toolkit – critical thinking, discipline and the ability to learn. Now go out and build something amazing with it." We were honoured to welcome Wei Lun Lee, a Cambridge IGCSE and A Level alumnus, as a guest speaker at our Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards ceremony (#OCLAs) at Sunway University in Kuala Lumpur. Thank you for inspiring the next generation of #CambridgeLearners with your story and your wisdom. 🙌 #ReadyForTheWorld
I am honored to have been invited by Cambridge University Press & Assessment to speak at the Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards Ceremony. I shared about my unconventional journey in A-Levels, such as having to drop Further Math and retaking it, while also discussing the five key lessons I've learned: 1. Strategic Resilience - bouncing back with better strategies 2. Informed All-In - taking calculated risks with full commitment 3. Gratitude for Privilege - using opportunities to help others 4. Global Perspective - seeking diverse experiences and viewpoints 5. Leading with Integrity - choosing collaboration over competition I am excited for the future of these brilliant young minds and wish you all the very best in your future careers. I know you will end up where you desire! I also shared about our nonprofit KITS Malaysia, which equips underprivileged students with career skills and opportunities. Since early 2024, we've already impacted 200-300 young people. PS: We're already scouting for the next generation of KITS leaders, so submit this interest form for priority consideration: https://lnkd.in/g_t8cuJd

Making Learning Memorable 💫 Every time I travel — to a new city, state, or country — I am reminded of why I do what I do! In every classroom I visit, every conversation I have with a teacher, and every story I hear from a learner; I see one truth reflected again and again: education is, and must always be, borderless. It is through these journeys that I reconnect with the deeper purpose of my work — not just to teach, but to transform; not just to inform, but to inspire! My recent roadshow in Sri Lanka reaffirmed my belief in the power of education to connect communities and cultures across borders. I had the privilege of visiting schools, witnessing growing appetite for a trusted curriculum that is both globally benchmarked and locally embraced. This energy, openness, and hope for the future remind me why striving for excellence in all that we do is important! The representation at the Annual TISSL Conference in Sri Lanka was the beginning of this journey followed by five houseful Cambridge workshops with the support of my Cambridge colleagues. The response from delegates was overwhelming. Their questions, reflections, and eagerness to adopt progressive practices were not only heartwarming but deeply inspiring. A standout moment was the invitation to speak at the Faculty of Graduate Studies, addressing a gathering of educators from 20 unique national and international schools across Sri Lanka on the theme 'Learning to Learn – Empowering Learner Efficacy'. The engagement and curiosity in the room reflected a powerful collective desire to explore evidence-based pedagogies and unlearn outdated assumptions about learning. Another highlight was the launch of Sri Lanka’s first Cambridge Professional Development Qualification (PDQ) Centre offering Early Years Good Practice. The micro-workshop followed by a panel discussion at the launch offered an opportunity to listen to practitioners’ voices and better understand their evolving needs. While the roadshow was intense — filled with early mornings, late nights, and endless to-do lists — it was also profoundly energising! Connecting with over 1,000 educators in a span of 7 days reminded me that impact isn’t always measured in scale alone, but in the sincerity of our commitment. "No one can do everything, but everyone can do something." This quote I read on a school wall will stay with me for a long time. This is the ethos I carry with me — to do what I can, with all that I have, wherever I go! Many thanks to the strong Cambridge Team on ground, who took care of every detail — your passion for improving international education in the region deserves recognition. Zahara Ansary Anuradha Jha Dananjaya Bandara • ACIM (UK) CBMM™ BSc (Hons) Eng. Rajiv Chhabra Jinanji Senanayake Shafkhaan Faris Geetha Kumararaja With Cambridge International Education, I am proud to be part of a mission that transcends boundaries and empowers possibility. With Cambridge, I am '#ReadyForTheWorld'! Are you?🤔
